Health Fund Rebates

The majority of health funds now offer rebates for both physiotherapy and acupuncture. Different funds provide varying amounts annually to assist you to receive these modalities of healthcare. Your level of cover may or may not provide this type of financial assistance.

Medicare Rebates/CDM

Medicare provides financial assistance to those who are referred for treatment by their GP via the CDM (Chronic Disease Management – previously known as Enhanced Primary Care (EPC)) program. The rebate is claimable at any Medicare office and can equate to up to 85 % of the treatment cost.

Bulk Billing

Bulk billing is available under the banner of Physiotherapy for DVA (Dept. of Veteran Affairs) clients. There is no fee gap for DVA Gold and White card holders. Acupuncture is also available as part of bulk-billed treatments for DVA clients if deemed appropriate by the physiotherapist.

Workcover

Acus clinic provides treatment for workcover claimants upon receiving your claim number and speaking with your case manager. Treatment sessions are approved as seen fit with ongoing review.

Cancellation Policy

Acus clinic requires cancellation notification of at least 4 hours prior to a booked appointment. If this is not given, notice of non-attendance less than 4 hours of the appointment will result in your payment of half the session cost. No notice of cancellation will result in your payment of the total cost of the missed session.

Late Arrival Policy

A late arrival equates to lost allotted time for consultation and treatment. To optimise your session, please attempt to arrive 5-10 mins prior to your booking.
